A beginning

So … I wrote about myself in “About the Author”, I covered most possible questions in the “FAQ” section … What did I need this blog for again? Ah, yes – for everything else! Everything that I couldn’t put anywhere else on the site or is too long for the social media. Maybe I should’ve called it “Stray Clippings” then? And put a couple of scarlet exclamation marks on it. But who knows, maybe I’ll find something worth writing for here too. Some sort of news related to me, for instance … On a strictly hypothetical level everything is possible, so the blog stays!

In the meantime feel free to explore everything else on the site! I’ll put up a sample from “When They Shine Brightest” as soon as the translator is ready with enough of the text to form a sample. That should happen before the end of November. For those of you who skipped the rest of the site and came here first – yes, English’s not my native language so I’m working with a professional translator at the moment.

As for after that – the whole book should be fully translated by the end of March and then a month more for professional English editing … Literature’s not an exact science but that’s my time-frame for now – could be a bit sooner, could be a bit later, I’ll keep you up to date.

You’ll notice that there’s also a “Short Stories” section on the site that’s a little empty at the moment. Yes, they’re not invisible. They may be fantasy, but they’re not magical. The thing is that – as with “When They Shine Brightest” – I intend for them to be translated professionally in order to be as good as possible, so it might take a bit. I’ll either ask the translator to squeeze a couple in-between his work on the novel or give it a shot myself at one point, but it’ll be in December at the earliest. I’ll keep you posted.

I think that’s it for now. I eagerly invite all forms of questions, suggestions and criticism in the “Contacts” section!

P.S: Woo-hoo, my first blog post!
